How do you want to get around?

If you walk, drive a car, take a bus, or ride a bike, you are impacted by transportation planning.

Our transportation system should reflect the thoughts and meet the needs of everyone who uses it. To make sure that happens, we want to help you learn how transportation planning works, get involved, and voice your opinion.

You may have already been involved in supporting or opposing a specific road project. But did you know that planning begins years or even decades before a project is ready to go? Mobility Plan 2040 is the long-range transportation plan for the Knoxville region (including Knox County and the urbanized parts of Anderson, Blount, Loudon, Roane, and Sevier counties). The plan guides transportation decisions and funding over the next 20 years.

To help us learn what is important to you, please review our draft prioritized project list (via an interactive map) and check out our regional transportation plan. You can offer comments on specific projects, or on the plan itself.
